Music Performance Trust Fund MPTF
Each Local in the US and Canada is allocated an amount MPTF money each year to be used for these, Free to the public events. The allocation is based on the number of members a Local has. Sometimes the MPTF will fund a concert 100% such as April, Jazz month, and the amount of the concert WILL NOT be deducted from the Local allocation. In April of 2024, All Jazz concerts were paid 100% by the fund. Sometimes the MPTF will require a 50/50 split of the cost of the program. The MPTF would pay 50% of the cost (this will be deducted from the Local allocation) and the other 50% would need to be paid by a co-sponsor. The co-sponsor could be any organization or company. Work dues are to be paid by members of the AFM for these events.
